A Few Things to Know Before You Stay

Overnight Accommodations
Each houseboat accommodates up to four overnight guests. At least one guest aged 25 or older must accompany the rental party. Comfortable sleeping options include a queen bedroom, loft sleeping area, and pullout sofa, with an additional twin sleeping nook aboard Dockside.

Deck & Guest Limits
A maximum of eight people may be aboard each houseboat at any one time, including overnight guests and visitors. For everyone's safety, the upper rooftop deck is limited to four people at a time.

Marina Bathhouse
The onboard bathroom is intended for light use and emergencies only. Guests should use the nearby marina bathhouse for regular restroom needs and showers. Onboard showers are not available for guest use, and outdoor showers are also available at the marina.

A Dockside Stay
Our houseboats remain securely docked throughout your stay and do not have engines. For safety reasons, fishing and jumping into the water from the houseboats are prohibited. Smoking and pets are not permitted onboard.

Both houseboats offer welcoming living spaces, sleeping accommodations for up to four overnight guests, convenient kitchenettes, climate control, and beautiful outdoor decks.
Dockside also features an additional twin sleeping nook for added flexibility.
Each houseboat has its own reservation calendar, photographs, and availability through Vrbo.

Our houseboats are stationary floating accommodations that remain securely docked at Akwa Marina throughout your stay.
They do not have engines and cannot be operated or taken out onto the lake.
You'll enjoy the unique atmosphere of staying right on the water while having convenient access to the marina, Beach Club, and nearby attractions.

The toilet should be used only for urination and emergency needs. Guests are asked not to use the onboard shower because of the houseboat's limited water and holding-tank capacity.
For regular restroom needs and showers, please use the marina bathhouse, located just a short walk away. Outdoor showers are also available at the marina.

Yes. Guests are responsible for bringing their own bed linens, towels, pillows, blankets, and personal toiletries.

Yes! Your houseboat stay includes access to Akwa Marina Beach Club during its operating season, generally May 15 through October 15.
Enjoy our beautiful sandy beach, swimming pool, hot tub, volleyball and bocce courts, outdoor pavilions, and waterfront gathering spaces.
You can also enjoy food and drinks at Akwa Marina Beach Bar and take part in available seasonal activities.

For safety reasons, fishing and jumping into the water from the houseboats are not permitted.
The water around the houseboats is extremely shallow, and guests should never jump from the decks.
For swimming and waterfront recreation, please use the designated areas at Akwa Marina Beach Club, including the sandy beach and swimming pool.

Pets and smoking are not permitted onboard either houseboat.
